Standing Strong In Times Of COVID-19

morocco covid 19 coronavirus

All of us have been deeply affected by the Covid-19 in the short period of the last couple of months. The world seems to have slowed down these past few months. Almost as if we are travelling back in time. With work places shut, overcrowded hospitals, schools-universities, everything on hold, needless to say we are dealing with a tricky situation. Regardless, let’s not stop believing in the ray of light that is soon to follow. We assure you, the good old days will be back soon.

We’re dealing with a global pandemic. In Morocco, with a population of about 37 million, there are about 1700 positive cases reported at present. This says a lot about the effective measures being undertaken by the Government. Face masks have been made mandatory in public places. Vigilant monitoring and contact searching is being practiced. As per the IMF Press Release(no 20/138) Morocco has drawn funds (worth US$ 3 billion) available under the Precautionary and Liquidity Line (PLL) arrangement to address these issues mainly focussing on the social and economic impact of COVID-19 and to maintain strong external buffers in case of emergencies. The IMF remains closely engaged with the authorities to help them mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on Morocco’s economy. As per WHO, Morocco has the technical competence to detect and prevent the spread of Virus.

Just a friendly reminder – We urge all our readers to be mindful of physical distancing.

These times can be difficult for most of us, but for what it’s worth, it’s somewhat reassuring to know we are all in this together. And in the meantime, let’s just take proper care of ourselves by eating nutritious food, reconnecting with our friends and family and being mindful of our mental health.

Amidst the uncertainty, the silver lining is that this seems like a perfect opportunity for us to slow down, unwind, and just relax. When was the last time we took a break from our fast paced lives, the deadlines and jam-packed schedules, and spent some quality time with our dear ones? This is the perfect time to engage in new activities we’ve always wanted to learn. Be it cooking, gardening or even playing guitar!

This also leaves us with enough time to plan our travel journals for future trips. It is widely believed that most of the joy of travel comes from the excitement and anticipation that planning brings. So why don’t we make the most of our time picking our favorite locations in and across Morocco. With so many months of being confined to our homes, imagine the rush we’d experience on our next trip. We can’t deny we’re all craving to feel the familiar thrill we experience on a foreign land.

We at Morocco in Focus, keeping in mind the well being of our clients, are taking all necessary steps to ensure a comfortable travel. We are checking with all our hotels, making sure all safety measures are being met. Of course, travel is suspended at the moment but that doesn’t mean you can’t continue planning your next trip and seek the joy it brings. You can, and you will! And we’ll tread through these steps together. We will continue to update our blog which will aid you in this process.

An incredible trip awaits you all. We look forward to serving you.

Until then stay safe and healthy.
